This artwork by Jan Boon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. In the Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations auction, the work Bij Amerongen: Amerongen in winter sold for EUR 5,625.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jan Boon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Magnolias in a ginger pot sold at auction in June 2000 with the realized price of NLG 19,893.40 (€ 8,488.82).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Boon erzielte im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations wurde die Arbeit Bij Amerongen: Amerongen in winter für EUR 5.625,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jan Boon; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Magnolias in a ginger pot im Juni 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von NLG 19.893,40 (€ 8.488,82).
