Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A still life with a vase, books and a letter by Jan Boon. The price achieved of EUR 1,320.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Boon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Magnolias in a ginger pot in June 2000 with an auction result of NLG 19,893.40 (€ 8,488.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with a vase, books and a letter von Jan Boon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.320,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Boon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Magnolias in a ginger pot im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 19.893,40 (€ 8.488,82).
