Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2007 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A still life with lemons, a knife and small pot by Jan Boon. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,920.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Boon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Magnolias in a ginger pot in June 2000 with an auction result of NLG 19,893.40 (€ 8,488.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with lemons, a knife and small pot von Jan Boon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.920,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Boon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Magnolias in a ginger pot im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 19.893,40 (€ 8.488,82).
