Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A still life with a jug and a toy by Jan Boon was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. The price achieved of EUR 2,400.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Boon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Magnolias in a ginger pot, which sold at auction in June 2000 for NLG 19,893.40 (€ 8,488.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A still life with a jug and a toy von Jan Boon kam im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.400,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Boon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Magnolias in a ginger pot beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für NLG 19.893,40 (€ 8.488,82) versteigert wurde.
