This artwork by Jan Adam Zandleven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Witte Boom - White Tree sold for EUR 1,434.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 800.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Adam Zandleven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A blossoming tree in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 15,275.00 (€ 6,684.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Adam Zandleven erzielte im Februar 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit Witte Boom - White Tree für EUR 1.434,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Adam Zandleven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A blossoming tree im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 15.275,00 (€ 6.684,04).
