It achieved a price of EUR 1,792.50 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Adam Zandleven - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A blossoming tree, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 15,275.00 (€ 6,684.04).

Die Arbeit A still life with flowers in a blue and white vase von Jan Adam Zandleven wurde im Februar 2004 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.792,50 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Adam Zandleven mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A blossoming tree beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 15.275,00 (€ 6.684,04) versteigert wurde.
