Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September this year Phillips in 6 - held the auction Editions & Works on Paper: Online Auction, which included the work Shifted Lattice by James Siena. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,080.00 (€ 1,020.41), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Siena achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recursive Combs, Boustrophedonic in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 53,125.00 (€ 39,489.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 6 - die Auktion Editions & Works on Paper: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shifted Lattice von James Siena zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.080,00 (€ 1.020,41) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Siena erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Recursive Combs, Boustrophedonic im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.125,00 (€ 39.489,33).
