Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mr. Thomas Panton'S Crab, A Grey Racehorse, Being Held By A Groom On Newmarket Heath by James Seymour was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,946.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Seymour achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lord Portmore's 'Snap', a saddled chestnut hunter held by a groom, with a setter in a landscape in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 322,494.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mr. Thomas Panton'S Crab, A Grey Racehorse, Being Held By A Groom On Newmarket Heath von James Seymour kam im Dezember 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion.
