Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES AND OBJECTS OF VERTU, which included the work A Lady, In Purple Dress With Lace Bordered Fichu, White Gauze Veil In Long Dark Curling Upswept Hair by James Scouler. It changed hands for a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,131.38) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES AND OBJECTS OF VERTU durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Lady, In Purple Dress With Lace Bordered Fichu, White Gauze Veil In Long Dark Curling Upswept Hair von James Scouler zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.131,38) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00.
