Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A lady in low-cut blue dress adorned with pearls and rubies at corsage, her fair hair upswept in a plait by James Scouler was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2005. The price achieved of GBP 228.00 (€ 334.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Scouler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work William Powell (1735/1736-1769), In Fur-Lined Blue Gown, White Shirt With Lace Collar And Cuffs, Seated On A Chair With His Left Arm Resting On The Chair Back, Holding In His Right Hand A Playbill For A Double Bill Of Cymbeline And George Colman The Elder in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A lady in low-cut blue dress adorned with pearls and rubies at corsage, her fair hair upswept in a plait von James Scouler kam im November 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit William Powell (1735/1736-1769), In Fur-Lined Blue Gown, White Shirt With Lace Collar And Cuffs, Seated On A Chair With His Left Arm Resting On The Chair Back, Holding In His Right Hand A Playbill For A Double Bill Of Cymbeline And George Colman The Elder im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.529,45).
