Sold at the lower estimate price
In August 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Boats moored before a Palazzo, Venice by James Holland. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,261.25) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Holland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Colleoni Monument, Venice in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 51,518.40).
