Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A wooded river landscape, Wales by James Holland was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,585.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Holland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Colleoni Monument, Venice in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 51,518.40).
