In December 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work The impeachment,-or-"the father of the gang, turnd Kings evidence.; Polonius. by James Gillray. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 956.25 (€ 1,140.61), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Gillray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ‘Consequences Of A Successful French Invasion... Or... We Fly On The Wings Of The Wind To Save The Irish Catholics From Persecution’ in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 54,081.37).

Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit The impeachment,-or-"the father of the gang, turnd Kings evidence.; Polonius. von James Gillray zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.140,61) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Gillray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ‘Consequences Of A Successful French Invasion... Or... We Fly On The Wings Of The Wind To Save The Irish Catholics From Persecution’ im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 54.081,37).
