In the Prints and Multiples auction, the work Presages of the Millenium; - with - The Destruction of the Faithful sold for GBP 5,865.00 (€ 6,995.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Gillray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ‘Consequences Of A Successful French Invasion... Or... We Fly On The Wings Of The Wind To Save The Irish Catholics From Persecution’ in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 54,081.37).
