This work without title by James Bishop was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017. The auction ended at the price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,697.88), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Bishop achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work For Viola Farber in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 295,500.00.

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von James Bishop kam im September 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.697,88) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Bishop erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit For Viola Farber im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 295.500,00.
