In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Arrival by Jacques Lipchitz. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,760.00 (€ 31,734.96), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Lipchitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,380,000.00 (€ 4,242,952.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arrival von Jacques Lipchitz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 31.734,96) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Lipchitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.380.000,00 (€ 4.242.952,63).
