Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a bearded man, bust-length by Jacopo Robusti for USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,525.15). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacopo Robusti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,609,250.00 (€ 2,044,570.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a bearded man, bust-length von Jacopo Robusti für USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.525,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacopo Robusti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A An Elderly Bearded Man, Head And Shoulders im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.609.250,00 (€ 2.044.570,24).
