Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Strawberries, Grapes, Plums And A Peach In A Basket Surrounded By Flowers And Other Fruits And Vegetables, All Resting On A Marble Ledge by Jacobus Linthorst for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,410.98). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacobus Linthorst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A crown imperial lily, tulips, hydrangea, lilac, an iris, paeonies, auricola, convolvuli and other flowers in an urn with a spray of roses on a marble pedestal; and Grapes, plums, wild strawberries, daisies, roses, and corn in a basket with a melon, in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 102,750.00 (€ 166,14

Im Januar 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Strawberries, Grapes, Plums And A Peach In A Basket Surrounded By Flowers And Other Fruits And Vegetables, All Resting On A Marble Ledge von Jacobus Linthorst für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.410,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacobus Linthorst erzielen.
