Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life Of Summer Flowers In A Bowl, With Butterflies And A Bird'S Nest Upon A Marble Ledge, A Temple Beyond by Jacobus Linthorst was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,492.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacobus Linthorst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A crown imperial lily, tulips, hydrangea, lilac, an iris, paeonies, auricola, convolvuli and other flowers in an urn with a spray of roses on a marble pedestal; and Grapes, plums, wild strawberries, daisies, roses, and corn in a basket with a melon, in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 102,750.00 (€ 166,145

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.492,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden.
