In June 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Still Life Of Peonies, Primroses, Irises, Tulips, A Poppy And Other Flowers With Grapes, A Melon, A Pomegranate, Peaches, Plums And Nuts, All On A Carved Stone Ledge With A Waterfall Landscape Beyond by Jacobus Linthorst. The price achieved of USD 122,500.00 (€ 84,348.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Other works by Jacobus Linthorst have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2000 the work A crown imperial lily, tulips, hydrangea, lilac, an iris, paeonies, auricola, convolvuli and other flowers in an urn with a spray of roses on a marble pedestal; and Grapes, plums, wild strawberries, daisies, roses, and corn in a basket with a melon, was auctioned for GBP 102,750.00 (€ 166,145.40).
