Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Still Life With A Basket Of Fruit, Nuts And Flowers On A Stone Ledge, With A Fly, Butterflies, A Dragon Fly And A Snail by Jacobus Linthorst was sold in the Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2011. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,476.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacobus Linthorst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A crown imperial lily, tulips, hydrangea, lilac, an iris, paeonies, auricola, convolvuli and other flowers in an urn with a spray of roses on a marble pedestal; and Grapes, plums, wild strawberries, daisies, roses, and corn in a basket with a melon, in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 102,750.00 (€ 166,14

Die Arbeit A Still Life With A Basket Of Fruit, Nuts And Flowers On A Stone Ledge, With A Fly, Butterflies, A Dragon Fly And A Snail von Jacobus Linthorst wurde im Juli 2011 in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.476,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacobus Linthorst erzielen.
