Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A chat at the table by Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever was sold in the Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A quiet afternoon in January 2001 with an auction result of NLG 41,125.00 (€ 17,995.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A chat at the table von Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A quiet afternoon im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 41.125,00 (€ 17.995,50).
