Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Dutch Watching The Needlework by Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A quiet afternoon, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 41,125.00 (€ 17,995.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch Watching The Needlework von Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Simon Hendrik Kever mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A quiet afternoon beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 41.125,00 (€ 17.995,50) versteigert wurde.
