Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included this untitled work by Jacob Kassay. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 32,133.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob Kassay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 232,985.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jacob Kassay zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 32.133,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Kassay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 232.985,45).
