Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Christies in New York held the auction Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II, which included the work Acacias with Kranskop Beyond, Limpopo Province by Jacob Hendrik Pierneef. It changed hands for a price of USD 69,300.00 (€ 67,131.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Hendrik Pierneef - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kransberg, Rustenburg, Transvaal, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 277,200.00 (€ 268,526.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Acacias with Kranskop Beyond, Limpopo Province von Jacob Hendrik Pierneef zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 67.131,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Hendrik Pierneef mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kransberg, Rustenburg, Transvaal beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 277.200,00 (€ 268.526,59) versteigert wurde.
