Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Doringbome - Pietersburg, framed 57.3 x 67.3 x 3.0 cm. (22 1/2 x 26 1/2 x 1 3/16 in.) by Jacob Hendrik Pierneef was sold in the European Art | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in New York in November this year. The price achieved of USD 35,840.00 (€ 32,856.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob Hendrik Pierneef have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kransberg, Rustenburg, Transvaal in November last year with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 268,526.59).

Die Arbeit The Doringbome - Pietersburg, framed 57.3 x 67.3 x 3.0 cm. (22 1/2 x 26 1/2 x 1 3/16 in.) von Jacob Hendrik Pierneef wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion European Art | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.840,00 (€ 32.856,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden.
