Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life Of Blue And White Grapes, Together With Wild Strawberries, All In A Basket, On A Wooden Ledge by Jacob van Es was sold in the Old Master paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in May 2009. The price achieved of EUR 17,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob van Es have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With A Fish On A Terracotta Plate, Bunches Of Asparagus, Artichokes And Cherries In A Scalloped Dish, Together With Half A Cheese In A Basket, Bread Rolls, Fraises De Bois, Lemons, Oranges And Crabs All Arranged On A Table Top in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 104,723.03).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 17.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden.
