Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work White And Red Grapes With An Open Walnut On A Stone Ledge by Jacob van Es. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,532.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob van Es have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With A Fish On A Terracotta Plate, Bunches Of Asparagus, Artichokes And Cherries In A Scalloped Dish, Together With Half A Cheese In A Basket, Bread Rolls, Fraises De Bois, Lemons, Oranges And Crabs All Arranged On A Table Top in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 104,723.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit White And Red Grapes With An Open Walnut On A Stone Ledge von Jacob van Es zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.532,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
