Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work "Palm Tree, LA", 1996 by Jack Pierson for SEK 18,000.00 (€ 1,647.07). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art & Design at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Pierson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The One and Only in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 334,100.00 (€ 436,989.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit "Palm Tree, LA", 1996 von Jack Pierson für SEK 18.000,00 (€ 1.647,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Pierson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The One and Only im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 334.100,00 (€ 436.989,69).
