This artwork by Jack Hamilton Bush achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2018. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction, the work Mars sold for USD 250,000.00 (€ 214,224.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jack Hamilton Bush - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Side Right (Right Side Red), which sold at auction in July 2013 for USD 603,750.00 (€ 454,562.57).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jack Hamilton Bush erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Mars für USD 250.000,00 (€ 214.224,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jack Hamilton Bush mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Side Right (Right Side Red) beobachtet, die im Juli 2013 für USD 603.750,00 (€ 454.562,57) versteigert wurde.
