Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Wit Schilderij (White Painting) by Jaap Wagemaker for EUR 7,500.00. This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jaap Wagemaker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work De Ruiter in November 2000 with an auction result of NLG 72,552.40 (€ 33,989.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Wit Schilderij (White Painting) von Jaap Wagemaker für EUR 7.500,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jaap Wagemaker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit De Ruiter im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 72.552,40 (€ 33.989,64).
