Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nag Raj by J. Sultan Ali was sold in the A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection Online auction at Christies in New York in September 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,800.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by J. Sultan Ali have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vanraj-Nandi in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 47,880.00 (€ 40,773.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nag Raj von J. Sultan Ali wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion A Lasting Engagement: The Jane and Kito de Boer Collection Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.800,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von J. Sultan Ali auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vanraj-Nandi im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 40.773,23).
