Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arjunia by J. Sultan Ali was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2016. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,140.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by J. Sultan Ali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vanraj-Nandi, which sold at auction in March 2021 for USD 47,880.00 (€ 40,773.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arjunia von J. Sultan Ali kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.140,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von J. Sultan Ali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vanraj-Nandi beobachtet, die im März 2021 für USD 47.880,00 (€ 40.773,23) versteigert wurde.
