Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Adivasi Bhumimata by J. Sultan Ali was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2018. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,228.18) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by J. Sultan Ali achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vanraj-Nandi in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 47,880.00 (€ 40,773.23).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Adivasi Bhumimata von J. Sultan Ali kam im Dezember 2018 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.228,18) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von J. Sultan Ali erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vanraj-Nandi im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 40.773,23).
