Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Art Evening, which included the work Tsar Saltan And Babarikha by Ivan Bilibin. The price achieved of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 81,310.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Bilibin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tsaritsa Militrissa, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 150,500.00 (€ 210,738.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Art Evening durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tsar Saltan And Babarikha von Ivan Bilibin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 81.310,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivan Bilibin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tsaritsa Militrissa beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 150.500,00 (€ 210.738,94) versteigert wurde.
