Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work At the riverbank by Ivan Bilibin. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 47,085.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ivan Bilibin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tsaritsa Militrissa in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 150,500.00 (€ 210,738.94).
