This artwork by Israel Lund achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September 2021. In the New Now auction, the work without title sold for USD 22,680.00 (€ 19,590.57) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Israel Lund have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 141,092.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Israel Lund erzielte im September 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 22.680,00 (€ 19.590,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Israel Lund auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 141.092,54).
