Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Al Farah (Joy) by Ismail Shammout was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in October 2015. The price achieved of USD 185,000.00 (€ 167,542.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Other works by Ismail Shammout have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2019 the work Al- Tariq (The Way) was auctioned for GBP 150,000.00 (€ 173,989.24).
