Upper estimate price exceeded by 33 %.
In May 2019 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Yokosuka Story #73 Ōdaki-chō by Ishiuchi Miyako. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,026.86), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ishiuchi Miyako achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yokosuka Story in May 2018 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 120,990.25).
