In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction A Life's Devotion: The Collection of the Late Mrs T.S. Eliot, which included the work A Young Lady, Called Lady Arabella Stuart (1575-1615), In Gold Dress With Embroidered Pearl-Bordered Bodice And Gold Sleeves, White High-Standing Lace Collar, Gold Pendant With Three Drop Pearls Hanging From A Pearl Necklace, Gold And Drop-Pearl Pendant A by Isaac Oliver. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 60,168.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isaac Oliver have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elizabeth I and the Three Goddesses in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 368,426.76).
