Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a lady by Isaac Oliver was sold in the A Fine Line: Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,731.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac Oliver achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Elizabeth I and the Three Goddesses in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 289,250.00 (€ 368,426.76).
