Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ippolito Caffi could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings Evening Sale auction, the work Venice, View Of The Molo Looking West Towards La Salute changed hands for USD 187,500.00 (€ 169,025.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ippolito Caffi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 1,588,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ippolito Caffi konnte im Januar 2020 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
