Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The »bidding war« ended at USD 372,500.00 (€ 326,439.40), 24% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ippolito Caffi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 1,588,800.00.

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ippolito Caffi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.588.800,00.
