Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ippolito Caffi could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Orientalist Sale auction, the work Italianthe Isthmus Of Suez changed hands for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,930.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ippolito Caffi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 1,588,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ippolito Caffi konnte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Orientalist Sale wechselte die Arbeit Italianthe Isthmus Of Suez für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.930,64) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ippolito Caffi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.588.800,00.
