In October 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters, which included the work The Grand Canal, Venice, from the Ponte dell'Accademia, with Santa Maria della Salute by Ippolito Caffi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 150,000.00 (€ 136,836.34), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ippolito Caffi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 1,588,800.00.

Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Grand Canal, Venice, from the Ponte dell'Accademia, with Santa Maria della Salute von Ippolito Caffi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 136.836,34) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ippolito Caffi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.588.800,00.
