Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Italiana Caravan Fleeing From A Desert Simoom Near The Sphinx by Ippolito Caffi. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,835.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ippolito Caffi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 1,588,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italiana Caravan Fleeing From A Desert Simoom Near The Sphinx von Ippolito Caffi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.835,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ippolito Caffi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.588.800,00.
