Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ippolito Caffi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2013. In the The Orientalist Sale auction, the work Italian sunrise Over The Golden Horn sold for GBP 338,500.00 (€ 399,449.54) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ippolito Caffi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma, which sold at auction in June 2007 for EUR 1,588,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ippolito Caffi erzielte im April 2013 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Orientalist Sale wurde die Arbeit Italian sunrise Over The Golden Horn für GBP 338.500,00 (€ 399.449,54) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ippolito Caffi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Veduta Di Piazza Navona, Roma beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für EUR 1.588.800,00 versteigert wurde.
