Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unkyo chichi o mosu Refrain from a Ming-dynasty poem by Ike Taiga was sold in the JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART auction at Christies in New York in March 2003. The price achieved of USD 13,145.00 (€ 12,059.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ike Taiga - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shun'un shusshu (Mountain peak in spring haze), which sold at auction in March 2003 for USD 50,190.00 (€ 46,045.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unkyo chichi o mosu Refrain from a Ming-dynasty poem von Ike Taiga wurde im März 2003 in der Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.145,00 (€ 12.059,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ike Taiga mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shun'un shusshu (Mountain peak in spring haze) beobachtet, die im März 2003 für USD 50.190,00 (€ 46.045,87) versteigert wurde.
