Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work An Alien among Ruins by Ida Ekblad was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 20,914.20). Admittedly, works by Ida Ekblad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 94,168.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit An Alien among Ruins von Ida Ekblad im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 20.914,20) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ida Ekblad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 94.168,93).
