The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,400.00 (€ 23,049.00), 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ida Ekblad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 94,168.93).

Die Arbeit To drink a glass of melted snow von Ida Ekblad wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.400,00 (€ 23.049,00) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ida Ekblad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 94.168,93).
